LG Washer UE Error Code

The UE code on an LG washer is an unbalance error. The laundry has piled up on one side of the drum, or the washer is not level, so the drum cannot spin evenly.

Front-load, WashTower and top-load washers

The LG help library lists these causes: laundry not spread evenly in the drum (a laundry net used incorrectly is one example), items that are not suited to machine washing, and a washer that is not level. Work through these checks:

• Pause the washer, take out the laundry and spread it evenly in the drum, then pick an appropriate spin cycle.
• Keep the load about 2/3 of the drum capacity. Too large or too small a load can unbalance the drum.
• Do not machine wash items such as electric blankets, curtains, rubber mats or bathroom rugs.
• Wash blankets on the Duvet cycle and padded jackets on the Sportswear cycle, with medium spin speed.
• Pick a laundry net that suits the size of the load, and avoid washing a single net on its own.
• If the washer shakes or thumps during spin-dry, level it.

On the SideKick, UE can mean an unsuccessful rebalance, a load that is too small, or heavy and light items mixed together. Open the drawer and redistribute the items.
